What it is

SMF provides MIG, pulsed MIG, TIG and flux-cored welding for components of virtually any size, with specialized expertise in aluminum and stainless steel fabrication. That includes sanitary-style stainless fabrication and back-purged stainless welds where the inside of the joint matters as much as the outside. Whether producing a single prototype or large production volumes, our experienced team delivers strong, clean, and repeatable welds.

Welding, answered

Do you weld aluminum?

Yes. Aluminum and stainless steel are the shop's specialty, not an occasional job. That is the work we have built three generations around.

Can you do sanitary stainless work?

Yes. We run sanitary-style stainless fabrication and back-purge stainless welds, so the inside of the joint comes out as clean as the outside. Call it out on the print and we will weld it that way.

Can you weld a part you also cut and formed?

That is the normal path here. The part is cut on the laser, formed on the brake and welded in the same building, so nothing ships between shops and there is one point of contact for the whole job.
