Stainless steel fabrication

Stainless is the shop's other specialty. We cut it, form it, weld it and dress the welds, from a single enclosure through production runs of welded assemblies.

What it means here

The shop's own video shows 14ga 304 2B stainless going through the 6kW Mitsubishi in real time, nothing sped up. Stainless work here runs from formed and welded enclosures and cabinets through tube-to-plate assemblies, welded and blended so the joint disappears.

Common questions

Stainless Steel Fabrication, answered

What stainless grades do you run?

The material proven on our own machine, and shown in our shop video, is 14ga 304 2B. Send your grade, temper and thickness with the drawing and we will confirm we can run it before you order.

How thick can you laser cut stainless?

The 6kW fiber laser handles stainless up to about 1/2 in., with most production work at 3/8 in. and under. Send the drawing and we will confirm for your part.

Do you finish the welds on stainless?

Yes. Welds are dressed and blended on stainless assemblies so the finished part reads as one piece. Tell us on the drawing what finish the visible faces need.
