What it is
Our press brake department runs five machines, from a 6 ft 60 ton Accurpress up to a 230 ton Adira with Esabend CNC control, offline programming and crowning control on precision ground tooling. A 12 ft HTC covers long work. That spread means a small precision bracket and a twelve-foot panel are both routine here, with the tonnage matched to the job rather than forced onto one machine.
Steward Metal Fabricating is a precision sheet metal shop in O'Fallon, Missouri, serving the St. Louis metro and St. Charles County since 1968. We ship finished parts nationwide.

Common questions
Press Brake Forming, answered
How long a part can you form?
Up to twelve feet, on the 12 ft HTC. That is a longer bed than most precision sheet metal shops in this market run, and it is why long panels, channels and enclosure sides get formed here in one piece instead of being spliced.
How much tonnage do you have?
Up to 230 tons on the Adira, which also carries Esabend CNC control, offline programming and crowning control on precision ground tooling. Below that we run a 155 ton and a 125 ton HTC, a 90 ton LVD and a 60 ton Accurpress, so heavy plate and light gauge each go on the right machine.
Can you hold a bend tolerance across a production run?
Bend angle to ±1° and bend-to-bend dimensions to ±0.020" are typical capability here. The brakes run repeatable backgauge positioning, so the hundredth part forms like the first. Send the print with your tolerance called out and we will confirm it before we quote.
Do I need to supply a flat pattern?
No. Send the formed-part drawing and we will work out the blank. If you already have a flat pattern, send that too and we will check it against our tooling.
